OLD TRAIL TOWN GIFT SHOP

Welcome to the Old Trail Town Gift Shop!

The Old Trail Town Gift Shop is housed in one of the Cabins from the town of Marquette.

Marquette was an early ranching community established in the late 1880s on the North Fork along the Shoshone River west of current day Cody.

The Shoshone Project came about through a desire of Buffalo Bill Cody to provide irrigation to the Big Horn Basin. Construction began on the Buffalo Bill Dam in 1905 and completed in 1910. Marquette buildings were removed and relocated by 1910 before the reservoir began filling, flooding the area.

Bob Edgar was eventually able to acquire the Marquette Cabin and bring it to Old Trail Town to give it another life as our Admissions and Gift Shop building.

We invite you to enjoy your visit to Museum of the Old West and Old Trail Town.
Be sure to spend some time in the Gift Shop. We offer a wide selection of publications giving you additional insight into the history of some of our buildings and the characters who frequented them.

We also have Old Trail Town and The Wild Bunch T-shirts, caps, cast iron gifts, frames, memorabilia, coloring books, wanted posters, and so much more.
